RYAN WORSLEY

Few people have the ability to capture an artist’s ideas and goals, turning them into a superior finished product that exceeds expectations. Ryan does this naturally and consistently, regardless of the project size or genre. To find out why countless clients are praising him for his musical wizardry, simply listen to his reel to hear for yourself.

RYAN WORSLEY

PRODUCER | AUDIO ENGINEER | MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST | SONGWRITER

For more than 20 years, Ryan has been studiously, methodically, prodigiously, and obsessively honing his craft. In addition to his post-secondary classical music training, Ryan’s experience as a writing, recording, and touring member of several Pacific Northwest bands, affords him invaluable perspective and insight into every stage of the studio experience: from writing and arranging, to achieving the best instrumental tones and getting the best takes out of a performer... but that isn't what makes him unique.  What makes him unique is his coveted ability to make practically anything sound AMAZING.  A true sonic wizard.  Industry professionals (i.e. artists, labels, critics) are taking note.

In 2018, Ryan received an award for Producer of the Year and a nomination for Engineer of the Year from the Western Canadian Music Awards. In 2015, Ryan received the award for Engineer of the Year and has been nominated for both categories for every year in between. In addition to these accolades, his experience writing for, producing, recording and performing with Universal Music Canada act Dear Rouge capitalized on all his assets and resulted in a Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year.

Although he loves being hands-on during the creation of an album, from writing to mixing, it's not uncommon for labels to solicit his mixing expertise, as Warner Music did for Courage My Love's Synethesia as well as the album 10,000 for Secret City Records' Emilie Kahn.  He has also created radio mixes for Polaris Music Prize nominees Basia Bulat and Young Galaxy. Said the Whale, Fake Shark and Mathew V have also brought Ryan on board to mix projects recorded elsewhere.  Time and again he has proven that his mixing ability isn't limited to one genre as he has crafted many standout mixes for indie rock, pop and folk artists. It's his work with these and so many other talented artists that has solidified him as one of Canada’s most sought-after music producer/engineers.
