RYAN WORSLEY

Few people have the ability to capture an artist’s ideas and goals, turning them into a superior finished product. To find out why countless clients are praising him for his musical wizardry, listen to his reel to hear for yourself.

RYAN WORSLEY

PRODUCER | SONGWRITER | AUDIO ENGINEER | MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST

For more than 20 years, Ryan has been studiously, methodically, prodigiously, and obsessively honing his craft. In addition to his post-secondary classical music training, Ryan’s experience as a writing, recording, and touring member of several Pacific Northwest bands, affords him invaluable perspective and insight into every stage of the studio experience: from writing and arranging, to achieving the best instrumental tones and getting the best takes out of a performer... but that isn't what makes him unique.  What makes him unique is his coveted ability to make practically anything sound AMAZING. A true sonic wizard. Industry professionals (i.e. artists, labels, critics) are taking note.

Ryan was recently nominated for Recording Engineer of the Year by the Juno Awards (2020). In 2018, Ryan received an award for Producer of the Year and a nomination for Engineer of the Year from the Western Canadian Music Awards. In 2015, Ryan received the award for Engineer of the Year and has been nominated for both categories for every year in between. In addition to these accolades, the fruits of his experience writing for, producing, recording and performing with Universal Music Canada act Dear Rouge culminated in a Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year.

Artists like Dear Rouge, Nuela Charles, GUS and Monowhales have travelled across the country to work with him at his Echoplant Recording Studios, complete with Artist Suite, to have him work on songs from start to finish - co-writing, producing and mixing - the whole shebang. However, although he loves being hands-on during the creation of an album, it's not uncommon for labels to solely solicit his mixing and top-lining expertise, as Warner Music did for Courage My Love's Synethesia, and the album 10,000 for Secret City Records' Emilie Kahn. He has also created radio mixes for Polaris Music Prize nominees Basia Bulat, Said the Whale and Young Galaxy.

Time and again Ryan proves that his song-writing, producing and mixing ability isn't limited to one genre and his ever-growing client list of exceedingly talented, accomplished and driven artists proves him to be one of Canada’s most sought-after music producer/engineers.

Anticipating yet another busy and exciting year for #teamechoplant, Ryan looks forward to propelling his clients into the spotlight with innovative tracks that are sure to set them apart from the rest of the crowd.
